Dr. Hunt earned his PhD in Fiber & Polymer Science from North Carolina State University. He completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory where he developed next-generation carbon fiber for the automobile industry. Prior to joining UNCP in 2024, Dr. Hunt taught Forensic Science at Fayetteville State University and worked as a Polymer Analytical Chemist with the Chemours Company. He teaches General and Analytical Chemistry and conducts research in the fields of Forensic Trace Evidence Analysis and Natural Materials Development.
