DMV Link for State ID application
General Requirements:The State ID card is issued by the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles. This card does not allow an individual to drive a car in the U.S. but may only be used as a form of identification.
International students and scholars should take the following documents to the DMV when applying for the state ID:- Passport
- Visa stamp
- Most recent Form I-94 (download from the CBP website)
- Proof of residency in North Carolina
- Fee of $14
