Application Deadlines

While UNCP offers rolling admission we encourage you to apply early for priority consideration. Please take note of the following deadlines:
 

Undergraduate
Fall term: June 17
Spring term: December 1

Graduate
Deadlines vary. Please refer to the deadlines posted on each program within the Graduate School.

UNC Pembroke Application

You can apply directly through the UNCP application and take advantage of the platform to not only manage your application but view your application status and schedule a visit to campus. Create your account using a personal email you frequently check, login, select your student type and complete your application.

Common App

UNCP is a member of the Common Application. Apply to UNCP through the Common Application by creating an account, selecting UNCP as your institution and completing the required sections to submit your application with ease.  

Determine Your Student Type

A complete application for admission includes:

  • Completed online application
  • Non-refundable application fee
  • English-language translation of official high school transcript
  • Applicants may be required to submit English-proficiency and test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, SAT or ACT scores)
    • UNCP's codes are: TOEFL: 5534, SAT: 5534 and ACT: 3138
  • Completed online application
  • Non-refundable application fee
  • English-language translation of official high school transcript(s)
  • Certified/Official English-language translation of transcripts from post-secondary institutions attended
  • Applicants may be required to submit English-proficiency scores (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, SAT or ACT scores)
    • UNCP's codes are: TOEFL: 5534, SAT: 5534 and ACT: 3138

English Language Institute (ELI)

Students who do not meet UNCP's minimum English language requirement can apply to the ELI and matriculate to academic classes upon successfully completing the program. The ELI at UNCP offers intensive English language instruction, pre-academic training and cultural orientation for international students preparing to pursue higher education in the United States.

Immigration Process

Financial aid eligibility will depend on what visa classification you hold. A traditional F-1 visa holder does not qualify for any U.S. Federal Financial Aid. However, you may be eligible for other sources of funding such as external scholarships or private loans.

Our institutional scholarships for students are located under the BraveAssist portal. You will log into this using your UNCP login credentials and complete a general application, then you will be auto-matched to any scholarship that you may qualify for.
