GPAC Announces 2026-2027 season

Givens Performing Arts Center welcomes legendary artists and world-class productions to the stage for its 2026-27 season, promising music, dance, culture and family entertainment.

The season opens Sept. 18 with five-time Grammy winner and Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Marty Stuart. Backed by his band, The Fabulous Superlatives, he brings an unforgettable evening of musicianship, storytelling and timeless country classics to the stage.

On Sept. 26, GPAC welcomes three of London’s most celebrated leading ladies from the West End production of Wicked. Their roles as Elphaba brought them together, and now they unite for a concert experience celebrating Wicked, The Greatest Showman and other beloved musical favorites.

With more than six decades of Motown history, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Spinners take the GPAC stage Oct. 16, delivering the timeless hits and legendary harmonies that have captivated audiences for generations.

The holiday season comes to life as The Nutcracker ballet graces the GPAC stage on Nov. 22 at 6 p.m., followed by the annual UNCP Holiday Extravaganza on Dec. 3.

The new year kicks off with the acclaimed operatic musical The Pirates of Penzance on Jan. 25, 2027, featuring a cast of 23 performers and a 16-piece orchestra.

On Feb. 2, Cirque Kalabanté brings the vibrant dance styles and musical rhythms of West Africa to UNC Pembroke in an extraordinary performance featuring breathtaking acrobatics and gravity-defying stunts.

Everyone’s favorite Dr. Seuss character, the Cat in the Hat, comes to GPAC at 7 p.m. on March 1, with Sally, Fish and Thing One and Thing Two for an unforgettable family evening filled with fun and imagination.

The season concludes April 30 with The Commodores performing hits from their extraordinary career, including “Three Times A Lady,” “Brick House” and “Easy.”
