Bachelor of Arts in History
The General History track offers a comprehensive foundation in historical study. Explore diverse time periods and geographic regions, from ancient empires to the modern world. This path is ideal for those who want to:
- Pursue graduate studies in history or related fields
- Prepare for law school or public policy roles
- Gain skills in research, writing and critical thinking
- Tailor their education to personal interests with elective option
Prepare to become a well-rounded middle school social studies educator through UNCP’s comprehensive Bachelor of Arts in History with Middle Grades Social Studies Education licensure (grades 6–9).
Earn your licensure to teach grades 9–12 through UNCP’s Bachelor of Arts in History with a Secondary Social Studies Education concentration.
History Minor
A minor in history pairs well with any major. You’ll learn to think critically, analyze
complex trends and communicate with clarity. These are skills that employers value
in every field — from business and education to healthcare and the arts.
