Where Can I Park
Student, Faculty & Staff Parking
If you commute to campus, you’ll find designated parking spots in several campus lots. Some of these lots are shared with faculty and staff, so here’s how to tell the difference:
- White-striped spaces = Commuter Student Parking
- Yellow-striped spaces = Faculty/Staff Parking

Need a parking permit? You can buy one through the Online Parking Portal or stop by the Traffic Office.
Lots with Commuter Student Parking:
- Parking Lot #8 (Berea Baptist Church)
- Parking Lot #8b (behind Burger King)
- Parking Lot #12 (near Cashpoint ATM)
- Parking Lot #14 (Jones Health & PE Center)
- Parking Lot #16 (Chavis University Center)
- Parking Lot #23 (University Rd../Old Main Rd.)
- Parking Lot #26 (Across from Cypress Hall, between Braves Dr. & Prospect Rd.)
- Parking Lot #35 (University Rd../Deese Rd.)
- Parking Lot #36 (Behind Baptist Association Bldg.)
- Parking Lot #37 (UNCP Soccer Complex)
These lots are represnted by orange circles with their lot numbers on the map. Commuter lots are represented by orange circles with their lot numbers on the map. Shared lots will have a split color circle.
- Resident Student designated parking lots are assigned by Resident Hall and are printed on the parking permit.
Resident Student Parking Permits are available for purchase through the Online Parking Portal or you can stop by the Traffic Office.

Faculty and staff parking is designated by Yelow-stripped spaces. Some of these lots are shared with faculty and staff, so here’s how to tell the difference:
- White-striped spaces = Commuter Student Parking
- Yellow-striped spaces = Faculty/Staff Parking
Faculty/Staff lots are represented by yellow circles with their lot numbers on the map. Shared lots will have a split color circle.
Visitor Parking
UNCP has parking spaces specifically designated as Visitor Parking. If you are visiting our beautiful campus, please refer below for the specific locations we have reserved for our guests to park:
- Parking Lot #17 in front of Lumbee Hall
- Parking Lot #22 Givens Performing Arts Center (GPAC) Visitor Parking
- Parking Lot #4 in front of Chancellor's Residence
- Parking Lot #7 Starbucks Visitor Parking
Please note that some of our Visitor Parking Spaces are for 30 minutes, while others are for one hour.
All visitors will need a parking permit to park on campus. Please contact the Traffic Office (located at the UNCP Police & Public Safety Department) at 910.521.6795 to obtain a Visitor Parking Permit.
Visitor parking is represented by blue circles with their lot numbers on the map. Shared lots will have a split color circle.
